2010 Chicago Cubs Season Tickets Waiting List at 120,000
Looks like the Cubs Season Ticket Waiting List continues to grow. MLB.com just released a report from the Cubs new owners about their plans for the 2010 baseball season. The Cubs will hold prices down on the cheaper seats and raise prices on the premium seats.
From MLB.com:
Season tickets: Anyone on the Cubs waiting list for season tickets should have some hope. The Cubs will have 700 new tickets available for 2010. That doesn't put much of a dent in the waiting list, which is about 120,000, but it's a start. Crane Kenney said existing season ticket holders will be allowed to relocate to the now available locations if they choose. The team will release more information at a later date.
Everyone knows I'm no rocket scientist, but when you add 20,000 people to your waiting list and add 700 new tickets, you're not going to put much of a dent in the waiting list. I'm sure a few people won't renew, also. Regardless, I still have a few decades before my number comes up.
