Tickets for the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada will go on sale in October 2008. The ticket buying process will be staged in three phases. In some cases, lotteries will be held to distribute tickets fairly to Olympic Games events where demand for tickets exceeds supply. During Phase 1, Canadian residents will be able to submit applications for tickets online through vancouver2010.com. US citizens must purchase tickets to the 2010 Winter Games though Jet Set Sports and CoSport, the exclusive ticket sales agent of the US Olympic Committee. During Phase II in early 2009, the remaining unsold tickets will be available for public sale. The seat assignment period will be mid to late 2009. For Phase III, once seats are assigned, any remaining tickets will be sold to the public.
